Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area received $4,000 for its Tutor Training Program. It will conduct four 18-hour tutor trainings, and provide books and materials to use when teaching.

Our Work in the community

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts’ David McKeehan (right) and Phil Grzewinski (center) present a grant to Paula deDeigo Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School received $13,334 to participate in the Space Shuttle Atlantis’ Student Space Experiment Program.

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts is a nonprofit, community corporation created by and for the people of greater North Central Massachusetts. We are here to help our donors make a positive impact on their community.

Foundation Grant Process
Grants of up to $20,000 will be made
Upon review of concept papers, which were due Jan. 25, a limited number of applicants will then be invited to submit a full RFP with a due date of March 29, 2013 @ 4:00 p.m., via email
Foundation issues $25K food pantry challenge
 
The Community Foundation wants to help keep pantries well stocked year round, by declaring April Hunger Action Month for North Central Massachusetts.

The Foundation will provide matching grants up to $25,000 on a prorated basis to 14 local food pantries. Every participating agency is guaranteed a minimum grant of $350.
