Community Foundation Announces New Funds, and Over $1,400,000 in Quarterly Distributions

Fitchburg, MA – The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts helped to launch two new funds in the second quarter of 2018.


The Mount Grace Land Conservation was established to uphold the conservation intent in perpetuity of lands in Worcester and Franklin counties.


The Marge E. (White) Guest Fund was established to support summer reading programs run by the Lucy Robbins Welles public library in Newington, CT, to purchase books for children who cannot access the library, and to bring books to people of all ages who are physically unable to get to the library, such as residents of assisted living centers.


With these new funds, the Community Foundation now manages 225 funds in total. In addition to distributing $692,000 in financial support in the first quarter of 2018, Community Foundation-managed funds made $779,000 in charitable distributions in the recently completed quarter.
