Nashoba Valley Community Healthcare Fund Awards 15 Grants to Area Non-Profits to Improve Health of Local Communities

The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and the Greater Lowell Community Foundation awarded $180,700 in grants to 15 local nonprofits from the Nashoba Valley Community Healthcare Fund to help improve the health of residents in area communities.

The grant awards focused on proposals pertaining to prevention of health problems, access to healthcare, elder health, youth and adolescent health, mental health, and health care service provision. Grant recipients were selected by the Nashoba Valley Community Healthcare Fund Advisory Committee, comprised of local leaders in business, health care, and education.

“All of us at the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts are gratified to partner with these organizations that work day in and day out to help address the physical and emotional challenges of our neighbors. This annual program is a great example of what can be accomplished when foundations team up to support important and impactful programming,” says Steve Adams, President of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.
