CFNCM Grants History
Meeting ever-changing community needs
The purpose of the Community Foundation’s General Endowment is to address a broad range of local needs.
The Foundation staff - working with community leaders – evaluated all aspects of community well-being: arts and culture, economic development, education, environment, health and human services, neighborhood revitalization, by conducting a series of regional forums with the nonprofit community.
Individuals who want to play an active role in the distribution process establish donor Advised Funds. When donors create a charitable fund through the Community Foundation, they are creating benefits for the community forever with a permanent endowment.
Donors have the flexibility to target their funds to a specific cause or a range of agencies or programs that they care about.
