Community Foundation seeks grant applications
Up to $100K to be awarded
For Immediate Release (April 05, 2007) – – The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts is accepting applications for grant funding from nonprofit organizations serving its 31-town region. The Foundation anticipates making two to four grants of up to $20,000 each from its General Endowment.
“In our five years as a foundation, this is our first request for formal grant proposals from the nonprofit community,” noted Thomas F. Bagley III, chair of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts. Over the past several years, the foundation has identified specific programs to fund through regional forums.
According to Bagley, funding consideration will be given to, but not limited to, proposals requesting support for general operating support for programs/projects pertaining to community development, environment, the arts and health and human services. “Proposals that include innovation and collaboration and the ability to leverage other resources will be strongly considered.”
The deadline for submission is 2:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2007. Additional information, such as the application and award process, is available at www.cfncm.org. For specific questions, applicants are encouraged to contact Nancy Daigle at the Community Foundation, 978-345-8383.
